[HAPPY trees]

Made a lot more of these:
They are all now listed in the SHOP.

and managed to catch the 2 girls showing some sisterly affection:
buttoning up K's jumper for her.
look at the 2 of them! :)

love this shot! :)
K's getting very big now!! :) G's trying to carry her....

[send me some apple love]

Boohoo, my apple has died! Just sent it into the service centre today, they said that since it's a hard disk failure, the data will most likely be lost. I've backed up quite religiously, but i think only managed to do that till K's 5th week pictures. Which means around 500 or so pictures are not backed - upped? :( Owell, i'm resigned to the fact that they're lost... sigh...
Anyways, some updates on what's been happening - had a great brunch at House again! This time with a different group of friends - we all met in London when we're studying/working there and met up quite regularly once we all got back to singapore. Unfortunately, it has been almost 1 yr since we last met! (life just passes by too quickly!!) It was a relaxing sunday spent catching up on everybody's life - career, love and otherwise - and hopefully the next time we meet would be sooner than in 1 yr's time!
Grrrr.... blogger is not letting me post pics! Check them out on my facebook site - HERE
O and i've been crafting too!
Here's my new stuff - (also on facebook) - HERE

[caught on film]

If only days like these could be packaged - the bright sunlight streaming through the bedroom window, the wonderful smell of freshly bathed babes, the enthusiastic and totally riveting conversations with the tot and the accompanying babbling of the newborn, the feeling of genuine contentment, of being thankful to be blessed with such beautiful children. The next best thing - to document each and every moment in pictures and eventually in little keepsake pages :)

love these smiles - K's smiling at us all the time now :)

an impromptu self-timer shot - see K's little feet? heh
Sneak of the december kit for this month's Label Tulip. I absolutely love the colours in this kit! They are the sort of rusty krafty deep colours that make you want to bring out your woolies and snuggle under the covers! :P

[fulltime mum]

I've been very fortunate that my dear parents (and inlaws) are looking after the kids and this has allowed me to pursue a fulltime, sometimes 80-hr week career. Today's the first time i'm experiencing life as a fulltime stay at home mum with 2 kids. It's now 245pm and it's only now that i get to sit at my computer and catch up on emails, reading blogs, chat a little online. If i'm lucky, i might even be able to squeeze in some magazine reading time before G wakes from her nap:) Really admire all you fulltime mums out there, who look after their kids 24-7 and still have time to craft! What i find great about having 2-as opposed to 1) is that they do entertain each other quite a bit. K is fascinated with looking at G and likewise, G is charmed when her antics provoke a coo or babble from K. I'm told it gets even better when they're older and don't need tat much personal attention!
So, what do i do when i'm at home alone with my 2 girls? Take lots of pics of course!! :P
G 'allowed' K to wear this polka dot shirt - a fav of hers as there are many pictures of her in it all around the house :P
A blurry pic of K smiling
Doing a yoko ono and john lennon shot
Screaming for me to stop taking pics :)
So thrilled to be featured at this website - BLOESEM - she's got great gift ideas and i love her daily posts on design and interesting stuff :)

In other news - i'm going to start another series of scented lavender sachets - influenced by this really cool line of fabric (yup, they don't sell overseas :( ) Perhaps sew some dresses from my pattern book :)

Meanwhile, i better start looking for some cookie recipes - i promised G we'll be making heartshaped ones when she wakes up!

[weekend crafty]

Did 2 bible covers this weekend - a commissioned piece for my sil :) and another a xmas pressie for good friend S (o, S, if you're reading, look away now!).
Here they are:

1st-ly, the commissioned piece for SIL's good friend S:
this is the lavender filled heart-shaped bookmark sachet. O! n my iron on fabric labels have arrived!
The personalised cover :)
Hope she'll like it!

2nd-ly, this is for S (she and her dh co-own a mushroom farm, so the mushroom motif on the fabric is ideal!)
all in sunny yellow colours!
personalised bookmark filled with lavender

my aunt brought over some lavender sachets, which i'm going to personalise and put up on my shop :)
Love this picture of the 2 girls, look at how K is smiling at G :)
Just went to the pediatrician yesterday - K's now 6.4kg and 60cm. Almost twice her weight and 8cm longer! :) She's doing well.... and babbling away now....
the twinkly lights.
caught her smiling! :)

['G says' - the lavender series]

What better way to immortalise those 'awww' sayings by your litte one then putting them onto these lavender stuffed scented bags. To forever fill your heart with love (when they're making you tear our hair out in rage) and to fill your bags/homes/closets with the sweet smell of lavender.

Made these today and stuffed them with the dried lavender from here. my home now smells divine! "cranky for you" now joins another lavender satchet i made for V all those years ago in his work bag. The rest will be going up onto my shop by tonight... (do email me or drop me a comment if you'd like a personalised saying one for the xmas hols!)

xmas is coming, i've a feeling everybody's getting handmade gifts this year! :P
a little collage artwork i put together some time ago. looks a lot more 'arty' in a shadowbox frame :)
We got our tree up and G's helping me put on the ornaments for the 1st time! :) (last year she just wanted to pull all the baubles off)
K slumbering on, totally oblivious to the shrill squeals and prancing around of her older sibling.

[G outing]

Today's the 1st time i'm driving out with G all by myself. I've driven with the kids before, but usually with grandparents in the same car. We both enjoyed ourselves, even though it was just a little errand to the post office. G's the best co-pilot, reminding me to lock the car doors, stop at red lights and warning me if i'm too close to the car in front. After that, she kept saying 'mummy, i love you, please bring me out like that next time ok? just you and me'... awww so cute.
:)
And i've got my gallery up at SOMO. the december kit looks absolutely scrumptious! :)

[more cosies]

Many more cosies done on the road trips to and from the clinic.

K's now 6kg! incredible to think that she was a tiny little baby just a mere 7 weeks ago. She's now able to hold her head upright and can coo and babble back to us. Haven't managed to catch anymore smiles on camera though.....
a little sneak at this month's LO for SOMO. love the colours and my fav's got to b the OA tags and alpha stamps :)
O! and good news! I'm now 5kg lighter than pre-K pregnancy weight. My target would b to lose slightly more to b pre-G pregnancy weight! :)
