Things that G have been saying lately:
1. Daddy is slim, mummy is big - bcos there is a baby in mummy's stomach. But when the baby is taken out, mummy will be slim. :) heh heh, the optimism of a 2 yr old! :P
2. Boo boo and Ginger are SO smelly - BETTER wash!
3. Look! Somebody made a space for daddy to park! (this one is declared every night at our carpark)

This weekend is a continuous series of bdays - first my dad, then my grandma's, then vic's! G will be happy - she thinks "happy birthday" is an emotion, not a occassion :)

My dad has always been the rock in our family - he's meticulous about all the family finances, very much in tune with all the modern day techie stuff and has always been extremely devoted to his family.

So :
To the person who shaped my entire view of the opposite sex, the one whom i've always turned to for all of life's major decisions, to the selfless 'chauffer' who would ferry me anywhere (and still does!), to my greatest idol and also my greatest fan, to the one who always believed i could be anything i wanted to be - HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA!

I received not 1 but 2 absolutely wonderful packages in the mail yesterday!

1st off - the June kit from SOMO arrived - everytime i open the DT kits from Kim and Jon, i just wish i could reach out and hug them! It was as usual absolutely jam packed with yummy goodies, containing not just the basic kit but also numerous other stuff from the addons! Thank you SOOO much for letting me play with all these yummy stuff!! :)

2nd-ly - one of the scrapbook bloggers that i've always admired had a cool contest on her blog site - and i happen to get my name drawn out of the hat! So happy to be receiving this package - it's chock full of supplies, from exotic brands like Rouge de Garance, which don't really appear in any of my LSS. All the way from France no less! :) Thank you sooo much for this wonderful pressie celine! I just HAD to start scrapping rightaway with all the lovely stuff - this is inspired by celine's latest post at her blog.

[lunchtime indulgence]

Had a good lunch break shopping at Textile centre. (the advantages of homepacked lunches - you get 1 full hour of pure shopping time!)
Here's what i bought -
coordinating fabric for my Amy Butler prints :)
Some cool combi cotton that was really cheap!

Plus - interfacing for a bag project - it's iron on - so i hope it's easy to use! :)

Reading the mom's forum that i'm on - M4M, there's a really sweet and touching poem that one of the expectant mum posted. I cried buckets after reading it - it expresses all the feelings and fears that i'm going through now with G. It also gives me hope - the later part of the poem is something i myself as an only child had never had to go through - i just pray that it will be something to look forward to.

[MAAD part 2]

Another MAAD day - so fun! lots of friends came by, i had a few interested customers for the customised pages, lots of craft related chatter :) Although the shop didn't do very well with sales, i did use all that time to do some 'on-the-spot' cropping, and these 4x6 album covers are ready to be stocked at the SHOP.



All these album covers fit over a 4x6R photo album with 60 blank sleeves. (inside album from MUJI)

O! Forgot to give a shout out to my stall collaborators - V at inbetweendreams (who does the most divine jewellery) & D at fourpagewall (who makes cool handmade albums with the most unique packaging). Here's the 3 of us:

And the greatest part of the day for me? Rushing back home to be greeted by a jubilant G who was SO super happy seeing mummy back for the day! Daddy took some great pics too in the afternoon!

[1st day at MAAD]

Thanks for dropping by and looking at all my stuff :)
It was a really tiring day, but quite fun too, being part of the 'crafty' crowd at such fairs. Not a lot of people who came by really knew what i was selling - as most of the items at the fair were ready made consumables, not commissioned pieces like the ones i had. Oh well, it was still pretty cool letting people know abt scrapbooking and what my online shop is all about. Also, i managed to sell my kits! heh heh.
Let's hope there're more sales tomorrow....

A huge thanks and hugs to my better half V, who spent the whole day ferrying my goods to and fro the shop, babysitting G and being generally super supportive! :) Many people have asked how i manage to juggle so many things going on, i guess it really is down to a very good support system of partner, parents and family - without whom i probably won't be able to do half as many things as i would like to...

Been busy staying up preparing for the event - silly me and the whole need to make stuff! :P So, last nite was spent putting together kits, designing and doing up the instructions for the kits, thinking abt packaging... gosh! super hard work!

Anyways, today's the BIG day and i can't wait to check out the rest of the stalls, the fun fun time setting up shop.

[MAAD]

Super excited!! This weekend will be the first time i'm setting up shop (for real!) at the MAAD event.
It's a 2 day event, i might be at the afternoon - evening time slot. Will keep you updated with more details.

Now, just enjoying good old ribena, listening to G talking in the background with her daddy.
She told us when we asked her if she was warm - Warm is like "wombie wombie" (her wombat softie); and when i told her "mei you" (chinese for Missing) - it's like MAYO (mayonaisse).. too cute... o, and she's mastered her training chopsticks! (gotta remember to take a photo of that)

[last day of school]

G's first term in kindie has ended. I think it was an emotional and memorable night for us parents, to watch the little ones sing and dance in front of us with all their little friends. She's adjusted really well this 1st term in kindie, looking forward to going to school every morning, and will often come back with new songs and activities.
As parents, we are very happy that she's adjusted so well to the school and appreciate the total dedication of the teachers and staff to making the kindie such a fun and inspiring place! Check out HERE what the school does - it's fantastic!
Both sets of grandparents + ku ku also attended the last day of school activities with us - we do tend to take them for granted sometimes, but it's a proud moment for us that they also share in all the joys of G.
