[end of school concert]

G was "mary" in mary had a little lamb at the school concert last friday. As always, it's a thrill to watch your offspring perform on stage, and this year is no exception. She was great, rehearsing many times at home and describing to me all the things she had to do, even down to describing the props! heh..... here are some pics...

Some pics of the 2 before the concert. G was sooo happy to be wearing her "princess" dress, she kept exclaiming spontaneously - don't i look pretty? thanks for making me pretty.. haha.
K is walking really quickly now! She just has to get the hang of putting shoes on!

I love thoese felt flowers and the rubons!
They are all over simple, i placed the photo onto the page and cut out the parts that overlapped the scallops
on the other side, i just used little tags or shapes to embellish, and it's really just a place for journalling.These are my scalloped tags! So quick to make - first i goccoed the papers to be cut out, then just run them through the Big Shot machine and voila! Great looking tags for presents. Also, if the design does not cover the whole tag, i find them just the right size for journalling. :)

p.s. anonymous: the wall decals in the girl's room are bought from HERE. i purchased my Gocco machine from EBAY, and the supplies from ETSY. :) Incidentally, shipping from Japan is fantastic! I purchased the goods and it was in Singapore in just 3 days!

While we're on the subject of cross-publicising (is there a better word?), i think i might give a shout out to some of my favorites at etsy as well -
Fabulous fabulous necklaces and other jewellery in felt from TIJUSAI - i always receive a compliment when i'm adorned in her one of a kind jewellery, and they are super unique! :)


These just arrived in the post and i think i'm addicted to getting 'twee' cottagey craft stuff, but don't they look cool in a modern setting? I just merely adhered the crocheted doilies onto patterned paper, and framed them in a cheapo ikea frame. Tada! The best thing about this is that it is created by a 60 yr old grandmama somewhere in the states! :) Visit her site to purchase your customised one today!

I think i've given a mention before, but SHE makes the most darling notepapers and cards!

Thanks for the wonderful encouragement for my class on thursday... i enjoyed the experience very much and LOVED working with the little ones. They were all super enthusiastic about scrapbooking and most managed to complete the mini album :) Hope you had a great class and yes, i'll be thinking about another one really soon!

What can i say - i've had mine to play with for about 2 weeks and i can't get enough of it!!! It's pretty perfect for cutting through many many layers of papers (perfect for the lazy bone in me!), it cuts through chipboard like butter, felt, fabric... apparently also bubble wrap!
Here's a little project that i've made using all sorts of material with just 1 die.

I live by my lists! i've always kept a daily planner, where i input all sorts of stuff, from 'real' appointments with other people, to little thoughts that i've to jot down, to things i want to do. Among them all, there are all these lists! Lists on what i need to buy from the grocery store, to lists on the current projects that i'm working on, to lists of what i need to do for work! Inspired by a great online friend's blog, i'm putting together a todo list for today.....

1. take pictures of all scrap and craft related stuff
2. november newsletter
3. pouches
4. take pictures of favorite places in the house (and pack up!)
5. laundry
6. scrap new pics
7. update etsy shop
8. make a baby layette set with new bibs and onesies

Just a shout out to my local LSS, who are celebrating their 5th (gosh! how time flies when we're having fun) birthday celebrations this month!!!! Do drop by to visit, as we unveil something really cool that i've had the pleasure of playing with - heh heh - here's a little sneak :
O and i'm super excited, as i'll be starting a class there really soon! If you're a scrapper or a crafter, do you always run out of time to scrap? A lot of people that i've spoken to, usually cite having to wait for their little ones to nap / sleep before hitting the scrap table. They ask, how do i manage to scrap or find my scrapping mojo with 2 little ones? Most nights, i'm out when the girls go to bed, so really, i don't find much motivation to get up and scrap into the night (except when there is a dateline!). Mostly, i scrap with G. She's my constant motivation and inspiration. It's an activity that she has never really got tired of doing (since she was about 18months i think). She started off scrapbooking on my lap, as i would do the rubons, stickers etc, she'll look at what i do and would be really quiet. As she grew older, i would let her help with the scrapbooking, holding down the rubons as she does the rubbing (yup, she even has her own rubon tool!), letting her paint the chipboard shapes. Now that she is able to write, she even has a go at the journalling! I love that we're doing this together, it makes scrapping all the more meaningful. For her, i guess it's just great because it means that she has my undivided attention! So, the inspiration for this class is to share what works and what doesn't work with scrapping with little ones. Hopefully, this will allow more mummies out there to scrap even when the little ones are awake!!! :)
