[treats and treasures]

This is kind of a hodgepodge type of post - it's also a midday in a midweek post - so bear with me :P

First off : uncovered some nice plastic doillie gems at haji lane (i love that place!)

Look at them against my grey wall - brings a smile everytime i look at it! :) (hanging on the wall are also some BG giant bookplates which were inspired by JBstudio projects kit gotta continue working on them though...

NEXT - look what M brought back for me from the States!! I've been wanting to do some felting for AGES and usually the inspiration doesn't materialise due to lack of materials here in Singapore. Finally i've no excuse not to start something..... Here's what i did really quickly last night.
FROM THIS:

TO THIS:

It's with a needle felting technique - you'll need some basic tools to fuse the felt pieces together. Next thing i'm going to try is the "wet felting" technique - i think that just needs soap and hotwater!

NEXT:
Got my DT kit from scrapdango. For all that know me, i'm a real Embellishment type of girl. So this kit didn't come with much! it came with Loads of paper though, so if you're a PP type of scrapper, it's a dream kit for you! But it's been fun and truly challenging, and i'm still working on it, so a little sneakie peekie at a "work in progress" LO-

Going to try out more stuff and add more doodling to the page. And perhaps some machine stitching too! check back again to see the completed LOs. (hopefully by this weekend!)

LAST (but not least)
Cousin R is the sweetest! Which 20+ yr old single guy do you know, when going on business to NYC, would go out of his way to buy the cutest little frock and tweed skirt for his niece! :) so, as a BIG thank you, i made him this little pocket photo book - filled with all the family pics :) (thank you R!)
